Just before reaching Battery East, you'll have an exceptional view of the Golden Gate Bridge, along a paved, replanted and renovated section of trail.
This point is also accessible by car, off of Lincoln Boulevard. There's a parking lot and a short trail in from the parking lot, leading to this point and to Battery East.

Proceed toward Battery East and then continue on the trail until you reach the south parking lot of the Golden Gate Bridge. Once you're at the bridge, it's well worth at least a short walk to take in the view from the top, and the boat and kite surfing traffic below.
The bridge is 1.7 miles across, to the north view point in Marin County.
