Walk Fort Baker to Golden Gate Bridge

For another perspective and alternative photo opportunities, you can make the moderate trek from Fort Baker. The walk takes you on a paved road -- now used only by pedestrians and official vehicles.

From Fort Baker, you'll have a view of the northeast side of the bridge from the cove. You'll travel under the bridge and up a hill toward the north starting point of the pedestrian walkway.

Once at the top of the road, you'll be on the west side of the bridge. Follow signs for pedestrians, pass underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, and link to the pedestrian walkway (photo) on the east side.

For a photo tour of this walk as well as directions to Fort Baker from San Francisco, see Fort Baker to Golden Gate Bridge Walk.
