Statue of El Cid, military hero of Spain. El Cid sits in front of the Palace of the Legion of Honor, created by sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington. Huntington and her husband Archer Milton Huntington, also founded the Mariners' Museum in Virginia - one of the largest maritime museums.
