Berkeley Kite Festival
Photos taken at 2008 Berkeley Kite Festival.
The Berkeley Kite Festival is a gathering of kite aficionados, hobbyists and families -- in a weekend of kite-related activities. Every year Berkeley hosts the competitions, exhibitions (and traffic) that characterize the annual festival. And each year's itinerary showcases different aspects of kite flying.
Throughout the weekend, the sky over Cesar E. Chavez Park at the Berkeley Marina, explodes with color and motion as giant kites, old-fashioned kites, and stunt kites compete for air space. This photo gallery features some of the visual color and drama at the Berkeley Kite Festival.
