San Francisco Financial District - Photo Gallery

The photos here show some of the diverse architectural styles of the Financial District in San Francisco. From neo-classical columns to the unique and sleek silhouette of the Transamerica Building, a walk through the Financial District is a study in visual contrasts and a timeline through some of San Francisco's Barbary Coast and Gold Rush past.

The Financial District is heavily populated during the weekdays, with dining and drinking hot spots. On Saturdays and Sundays, the neighborhood's temperament is noticeably subdued. And on colder days, the wind can whip up a fierce bite on the quiet streets Montgomery Street, adding to the effect of weekend solitude.
