You'll follow the Tidelands Trail along the hill, heading northward above Newark Slough. The views from this point are beautiful, and you may see a raptor or two, and turkey vultures flying above the grassland areas of the hill.

Continue on the trail as it returns to the starting point. You'll arrive, again, at the Tidelands Trail sign near the portable restrooms.

Continue up the path where you first started the walk. It will take you to the paved road outside the visitor center.

The LaRiviere Marsh Trail

For an alternative or additional stroll in the area, you can make a quick loop on the LaRiviere Marsh Trail where you will probably see a number of shorbirds and ducks of different species.

See photo of the LaRiviere Marsh Trail Head on the next page, as well as directions from the visitor center.
