As you approach the bottom of the hill, you'll see clearly marked trail signs, directing you toward both the Tidelands Trail and the Learning Center. Follow the arrows and you'll come to a split in the trail. To the right will be the Learning Center area, and to the left, the continuation of the Tidelands Trail.

If you go to the right, you'll pass the Learning Center complex with a small, outdoor amphitheater and an environmental education pavilion. Past the buildings is a short loop across Newark Slough where you may see waterfowl, herons and egrets, as well as songbirds like song sparrows.
