The Tidelands Trail

Don Edwards Trail Map

The Tidelands Trail is an easy loop that's mostly flat, with just one gradual climb. You can start the trail going up over the hill and back down toward the marshes. This photo tour starts by going to the marshes, then walking back through the upland area.

From the visitor center, follow the main paved road down the hill. On the left, you'll pass a view point with an educational display about the Don Edwards refuge. You'll also have a spectacular view of the marsh and salt pond areas below.

Continue down the paved road, about halfway down. You'll see a trail head and marker for the Tidelands Trail.

Take a left from the paved road start the walk down a gradual slope toward the marshes.
