Marbled Godwits

Marbled Godwits are shorebirds that winter along the California coast.

Some of the shorebirds -- godwits, sandpipers, dowitchers -- can be difficult to identify. The size, shape and color of the bill are often clues, as are their walking and eating patterns, if you know a bit about the species' behavior.
