Wildcat Peak & Lookout
The view on the previous page, and this lookout perch at the top are the big reward at the end of the uphill hike. If the weather cooperates, you'll have a spectacular view in any direction.
The lookout point was finished in 1962 and gives you an overview of Tilden Park below as well as the trails leading toward Wildcat Canyon. You'll also be able to see the silhouette of Mount Tamalpais in Marin County.
Some of the wildlife you may see along your way down the hillside include a variety of birds and raptors (including red-tailed hawks), deer, and coyotes.
