Wildcat Peak Hike - Start at Little Farm & Environmental Education Center
This hike takes you from the Environmental Education Center adjacent to Little Farm in Berkeley's Tilden Park (pictured here).
See the Environmental Education Center on a street map of the Tilden Park area.
For a detailed look at Tilden trails, see the Official Tilden Park Website.
Getting to Wildcat Peak (at 1280 feet) requires a consistent uphill climb. But the payoff is that it's all downhill once you reach the summit -- after you've enjoyed the panoramic views from the top.
This hike is best done in cool or just warm weather. On hot days, significant portions of the trail are exposed and it's not quite as satisfying without a bay breeze.
This photo tour starts on the trail behind the Educational Center. If the Center is open, stop in for trail maps and other Tilden Park printed matter and information.
