The Bottom Line
The beauty of Pres a Vi is its location. Not only is it a short walk from Chestnut Street and the Marina District, it overlooks the manicured greens of the Letterman Digital Arts Center. The walking paths and views are great for a stroll after sampling Pres a Vi's small plate menu.

Guide Review - Pres a Vi Restaurant & Wine Bar
We retreated to the bar at Pres a Vi after a day of walking and window shopping in the Marina and Cow Hollow. Entering San Francisco's Presidio always feels like stepping from one world into the next. As you leave the street life of Chestnut, you emerge through the Presidio gate into a span of park, fountains and manicured paths.
On a weeknight, Pres a Vi wasn't too crowded or noisy, and the bar has ample seating with a bar bites menu if your appetite doesnt quite demand dinner.
Themed wine flights are a creative way to sample wines with which youre not familiar. You can also taste individual varietals in either 3 oz and 6 oz pours.
I was happy to see the small plates included lumpia the Filipino and Indonesian style egg-rolls that aren't common in American restaurants. Other menu items sashimi, risotto, lobster, mussels -- evoke an international flavor mix that crosses Asian and European borders.
Pres a Vi has a large outdoor patio with heat lamps for seasonal San Francisco evenings.
