San Francisco Botanical Garden Photos

The San Francisco Botanical Garden -- formerly known as the Strybing Arboretum -- is a beautiful swath of foliage and flowers on the Sunset District side of Golden Gate Park.

Entrance to the Botanical Garden is on 9th . . . and it's a close walk to other Golden Gate Park amenities such as the Japanese Tea Garden and the de Young Museum.

Any time of year is worthwhile in terms of a visit but if you're looking for specific plant species and blooms, you'll want to visit according to the season of each plant. Spring is particularly pretty with the many cherry blossoms.
