Rows of Victorians are a common sight in the Haight District of San Francisco. Many original homes in the western neighborhoods of San Francisco survived the fires of the 1906 earthquake. Walking through Haight Ashbury, Cole Valley, and Hayes Valley you'll see beautiful examples of almost every Victorian style - Queen Anne, Italianate, Eastlake Stick, Gothic Revival and more.

See photos of adjacent neighborhoods: Cole Valley Photos and Hayes Valley Photos.

Cole Valley is a short walk south, from the intersection of Haight Street and Cole -- with the main commercial district at Cole and Carl. Hayes Valley is a longer walk east down Haight or Hayes or any of the parallel streets. The commercial district of Hayes Valley is around Octavia and Hayes.
