Independent music store, Amoeba Music, opened on Berkeley's Telegraph Avenue in 1990. It's been a known and loved entity in the Bay Area for its vast selection and indie spirit. Amoeba landed (in a big way) on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood in 2001, and is now a Los Angeles favorite as well.
