The Bay Area Discovery Museum is an indoor/outdoor facility on more than seven acres at Fort Baker. Exhibits are designed to foster curiosity and knowledge about the culture and natural science of San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Permanent exhibits include:

  • Lookout Cove: Interactive, outdoor kids play area
  • Tot Spot: Indoor and outdoor play spaces for toddlers
  • Wave Workshop: Interactive exhibit teaching the dynamics of waves and tides

The museum also has a 180-seat performance theater, as well as art studios for special classes and drop-in events.

Children from the ages of 6 months to 8 years old can enjoy the facilities at the museum.
