The dot.com boom in San Francisco brought vitality back to the area, expanding on the mixed-use concepts begun by artists in the 70s and 80s.
Although the dot.com bust put South Park through yet another economic slump, the area remains an interesting blend of Victorian and modern styles, housing tech businesses, professional firms and several wonderful cafés and restaurants.
