South Park Early Days

The wealthy eventually moved on to richer hubs like Nob Hill. South Park became a working class neighborhood before it was completely destroyed by the 1906 earthquake.

Post-earthquake South Park was an unplanned mix of cheap hotels and industrial shops. It was a haven for drug activity and refuse dumping.
