Fourth of July Fireworks - July 4, 2009

These venues all held Fourth of July celebrations in 2008. For those events not yet scheduled in 2009, check back at the various websites for updates and current information.

Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30p. The following venues have additional 4th of July celebrations, around the fireworks display over the bay in the evening.

Fisherman's Wharf Fireworks & Celebration

  • LOCATION: Aquatic Park - (See map)
  • Full schedule and line-up to be announced sometime in June 2009

Pier 39 Fireworks & Celebration

  • LOCATION: Pier 39 - (See map)
  • TIME: 1p to 9:30p - Fireworks over the Bay at 9:30p
  • ACTIVITIES: Live entertainment and local bands leading up to Tainted Love from 6 to 9:30p
  • Visitors can stay to watch the San Francisco Bay fireworks after the entertainment

The Cannery - Family Festival

  • LOCATION: The Cannery - on Leavenworth - (See map)

Pier 23 - Fourth of July

  • LOCATION: San Francisco's Pier 23 on the Embarcadero waterfront - (See map)

Fourth of July at Berkeley Marina

  • LOCATION: Berkeley Marina - 201 University - (See map)
  • TIME: Noon to Fireworks (at 9:30p)
  • ACTIVITIES for kids: Decorate your bike, trike or stroller with recyclables at Madame Ovary's booth. Adventure Playground for kids is open from 11a to 8p. Sign up for a sack race or face painting. Giant slide at the beach
  • ACTIVITIES for adults: International food booths, live entertainment from noon to 9p, arts and crafts booths, free sailboat rides (1p to 4p), dragon boat rides (2p to 6p)

4th of July at Jack London Square (Oakland)

  • LOCATION: Jack London Square at the foot of Broadway in Oakland (at Embarcadero) - (See map)

There are four sailings on July 4. Boarding is 15 minutes prior to departure and vessels are expected to return by 10:30p
