Marin County internist Ann Haiden released a report entitled The Light Brown Apple Moth Aerial Spray Campaign: The Health Hazards of Particles, Toxins, Inflammatory Cascades and Genomic Predisposition

Vegan Reader posted this letter from UC Davis scientists to the USDA -- in opposition to the LBAM aerial spraying. Three entomologists signed the letter, asking the USDA to revisit their decision to spray the Bay Area.

LBAM Spray News - Updated April 23, 2008

LBAMspray.com has posted a study done by Dennis L Knepp, PhD and Jeff Hafferman, PhD which contradicts the CDFA's and Suterra's claims about particle size safety. LBAM Spray News - Updated April 18, 2008

In Sacramento, 250 people showed up on April 16 to oppose the aerial spraying and support the aerial spray bills at the Assembly Agriculture Committee meeting.

Last week, Mayor Newsom urged Governor Schwarzenegger to further review and study the ingredients to be used in the aerial spraying program over the Bay Area -- to ensure the safety of both the active and inert ingredients. LBAM Spray News - Updated March 17, 2008

LBAMspray.com has printed a series of reports refuting some of the CDFA's reports -- among them, questions about surfactants that may have harmed birds in the Monterey area, and documents which suggest that the threat of LBAM is overstated.

On March 6, the San Francisco Chronicle ran another informative piece on the aerial spraying issue by environmental reporter Jane Kay.

  1. A Resolution vs spray passed Oakland and Fairfax City Councils, AFSCME local union
