Martinez Waterfront Park
The Capitol Corridor train passes through the Martinez waterfront area, en route to Carquinez Strait Regional Shoreline -- and toward points west and south.
Waterfront Park in Martinez is a developed entity with recreational areas and children's play spaces. Elements of wilderness do blend with the manicured grounds -- such as the migrating birds you may see in the park throughout the fall and winter.
Carquinez Strait Regional Shoreline is a natural bounty just west of Martinez, with more than 1400 acres of grasslands, bluffs, trails, and views to the strait and toward Martinez. The park is home to abundant wildlife, including the occasional Golden Eagle.
