Gus Van Sant

Director Gus Van Sant and screenwriter Dustin Lane Black travel the parade as part of the Milk film contingent. Milk is the story of Harvey Milk, the San Francisco Supervisor who, along with George Moscone, was assassinated by another supervisor, Dave White. Milk was the first openly-gay man elected to prominent political office. Van Sant's drama, starring Sean Penn, filmed on location in San Francisco in 2008.
