Miette Patisserie - San Francisco Ferry Building
The Ferry Building is not an ideal destination if you have any dietary restrictions in mind. Of course, the emphasis is on local and healthful and organic -- but the sights and smells of shops like Miette make it almost impossible to resist the macaroons, shortbread and gingerbread cupcakes that await at this small patisserie and confiserie.
In 2007, Miette opened a shop in the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco, giving Miette fans a chance for the same sweet fix in the interior lands.
