4. California Historical Society

Hobos to Street People: Artists' Responses to Homelessness From the New Deal to the Present
February 19 to August 15, 2009
This exhibition features the works of more than 30 artists working over the last 75 years to document the tragedy of homelessness and the government’s role in the crisis.

Gallery, bookstore and library will be closed until February 7, 2009. Bookstore and library will reopen on February 11. The gallery will reopen on February 19.

Conservatory of Flowers premieres its first garden railway exhibition and celebration of the city of San Francisco. Model G-gauge trains wend their way through a lush landscape and past mini versions of the city's landmark buildings.
