Pacific Orchid Exposition - Fort Mason Festival Pavilion
These photos were taken at the 56th Pacific Orchid Exposition in late February 2008.
The Expo showcases more than 150,000 varieties of orchids from around the world. The diversity of orchids shown at Fort Mason Festival Pavilion will stun the orchid neophyte.
The sheer number of flowers is overwhelming enough. But the presentation and lighting is also beautiful -- and visitors can purchase and take home an orchid or two from a large selection of growers.
