Latest stories on the Cosco Busan crash and San Francisco Oil Spill
Information continues to emerge, suggesting human error in terms of the crash, and mismanaged response.
A disaster like this is devastating enough to our ecosystem and wildlife. Add to that the human culpability, as well as actions suggesting that authorities were ill-prepared to effectively deal with a disaster of this kind and didn't know how to mobilize local resources and volunteers . . . it adds such frustration to an already difficult situation.
At least volunteers have now been mobilized more efficiently, so if you want to help, please check with the groups listed in How To Help (above) to see what they may need.
