If you or your mother are traveling in and out of the Bay Area for Mother's Day, get information on finding the fares and flights out of San Francisco and Oakland International Airports.
Dining on Mother's Day
San Francisco has several hotels and restaurants that offer Sunday Jazz Brunch. Brunch on Mother's Day tends to be pricey but it's a nice and less hurried way to catch up with the family if the price tag is feasible.
Through the end of May, the Legion of Honor has a Jazz Brunch which includes admission to the museum.
Also check Open Table for restaurants with special Mother's Day menus.
Flowers for Mom
People tend to be loyal to their favorite florist. If you don't have a favorite or want to try something new, check this selection of San Francisco florists for Mother's Day. Most florists offer local, national, and international delivery options.
A Spa Pampering
No one is going to balk at a gift of a spa treatment. Well, almost no one. I met someone once who did. For the rest of us, and for moms who would be thrilled with a gift of pampering, this list of San Francisco spas can help you sort out the treatments your mother may enjoy on her day of rejuvenation and relaxation.
This year (2008) the Barber Lounge on Folsom Street has a Mother's Day Makeover Package with 20 percent of the proceeds benefitting the Bonnie J Addario Lung Cancer Foundation. The full package is $300 and includes treatments and gift bag.
