Two SF Post Offices Open Late April 17

By April 11, 2012

Follow me on:

It's that dreaded time of year, when we're to own up to the IRS.  Except we San Franciscans dread it more than anyone else. We're the biggest tax procrastinators in the country, according to a recent TurboTax study, which reported that in 2011, at least 4 out of 10 of us waited until two weeks before the deadline to submit our returns.  Gulp.

It's too late to feel guilty about it this year. But if you're filing the good old way, be sure to know which San Francisco Bay Area post offices that are open late on April 17.

If you already filed or are close to it, you can celebrate by turning cartwheels on the Great Highway on Sunday. Or salsa, hula-hoop, jog or bike--all courtesy of the Sunday Streets program.

Thanks for wasting my time and not even telling us what the two post offices are. You obviously are just on About.com to get people to click on the links in the stories to make it appear that you’re giving useful and effective information. The title is misleading and I’m sure many others have had the same issue. Silly us for thinking your story titled “Two SF Post Offices Open Late on April 17th” would actually contain the name or locations of the post offices. This story does instead include information about a salsa event the following weekend, w-o-w. Rating: Useless.

Blog posts are meant to be short, and so you’re exactly right: They contain links to longer and more detailed articles. Had you clicked on the link in the blog post (“which San Francisco Bay Area post offices that are open late on April 17″), you’d see an article that lists the two offices.

But of course this is all rather moot now, since the tax filing deadline is long past.
