Reporter Bill Brand Dies

In terribly sad news, William Brand, long-time reporter and author of the What's on Tap column regularly featured here, died at San Francisco General Hospital on Friday. The 70-year-old Brand was fatally injured in a Muni accident, struck by an N-Judah train while walking near Second and King. The Oakland Tribune ran a story and obituary in Friday's paper.
