San Francisco Halloween 2008

Tuesday September 23, 2008
With the Castro's Halloween of old now relegated to a historical timeline, this year was supposed to bring an alternative celebration in the realm of AT&T Park. As the San Francisco Chronicle reported last week, it seems there's been some confusion (and some hard feelings) over how this plan fell through the corporate funding cracks.

So, in terms of a public gala, it looks like their may be a free and subdued version of the previously designated party -- with no alcohol. And beyond a City-sanctioned fest, there will be the usual suspects of haunted houses and cemeteries, family events, and pumpkin patches.

Among new additions this year: The Victoria Theatre will be running the original stage production of The Rocky Horror Show in October and November. And kids can enjoy a Green Halloween bash at the brand new California Academy of Sciences. See the event pages below for more details.
