AIDS Walk Raises $4.5 Million
Sunday was the second largest AIDS walk in terms of fundraising -- $4,512,934 to be exact. More than 25,000 walkers, along with Bay Area corporate support, accounted for the success of this year's event.In its 21 years, AIDS Walk San Francisco has raised nearly $65 million for HIV programs in the Bay Area. It's an event that began in 1987 with just 6,000 committed citizens.
