Three Days of Silent Legends at the Castro

Tuesday July 8, 2008
The 13th annual San Francisco Silent Film Festival celebrates silent cinema with three days of performances at the Castro Theatre. From July 11 to July 13, the Castro will show archival silent films with musical accompaniment -- by the theater's Mighty Wurlitzer, by the Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra, by select pianists, and by the Baguette Quartette.

The Festival opener is the Harold Lloyd film The Kid Brother (1927). The Silent Film Festival closes with a King Vidor flick, The Patsy (1928). Between start and finish is a roster of thirteen films.
