U.S. Kiteboarding National Championships at Crissy Field

Friday June 13, 2008
Thursday's qualifying heats finished up just before a thick plume of fog made its way through the Golden Gate. And for the next two days, you can catch finals of the U.S. Kiteboarding National Championships on San Francisco Bay -- watch competing kiters get some air time.

Racers will navigate the bay course starting at about 2p on Friday and Saturday (June 13 and 14). You'll have a decent vantage point from Crissy Field where announcers call the moves for spectators. There's no admission, no restricted access (except for a small area where the kiteboards hang out on the beach).
