New Cinta Aveda Institute

Tuesday May 6, 2008
There's a new beauty kid on block . . . well, new but with an established San Francisco pedigree. Cinta Aveda Institute (with owner Cinta Gibbons of Cinta Salon) opened its doors today to a full program of beauty school instruction, for aspiring stylists and estheticians.

The Institute features a salon/spa that uses Aveda plant-based products and services -- at price points below what you'll find in some of the nice salons around town.

The haircut price range is $14 to $20. A single-process color is in the 40s (dollars, that is). A 90-minute facial will set you back $50. A variety of other services are also available, from waxing to makeup application.

The salon is at 305 Kearny, and the website has details on both career programs and salon services: Cinta Aveda Institute Website.
